VendorHearth Pro uses a license key to verify your installation and determine eligibility for software updates and support.
A VendorHearth Pro license is valid for one WordPress website for one year.
Activating Your License #
After installing VendorHearth Pro, enter the license key provided with your purchase in the VendorHearth license area.
Once entered, activate the license for the website.
VendorHearth securely stores the license information and masks the saved key when displayed in WordPress.
What Your License Provides #
An active VendorHearth Pro license provides eligibility for:
- VendorHearth Pro software updates
- New versions and improvements
- Bug fixes distributed through updates
- Support during the active license period
VendorHearth integrates with the normal WordPress update system so eligible updates can appear within WordPress when available.
License Validation #
VendorHearth periodically validates the license automatically.
You do not need to manually validate the license every time you use VendorHearth.
Periodic validation allows VendorHearth to determine whether the installation remains eligible for updates and support.
VendorHearth Does Not Automatically Renew #
VendorHearth Pro licenses do not automatically renew.
When your one-year license period ends, VendorHearth will not automatically charge you for another year.
If you want to continue receiving updates and support, you must manually purchase or complete the applicable renewal.
This gives you control over whether you renew the license.
What Happens When the License Expires? #
License expiration does not delete VendorHearth or your vendor data.
Your existing installation continues to operate with the functionality already installed on your website.
Your existing:
- Events
- Vendors
- Applications
- Payments
- Agreements
- Documents
- Season Passes
- Event records
are not deleted simply because the license expires.
However, an active license may be required to receive future VendorHearth Pro updates and support.
Renewing Your License #
If you choose to continue receiving updates and support after the license period ends, renew your VendorHearth Pro license for another year.
After renewal, verify that the license information on your WordPress website reflects the renewed license status.
One Website Per License #
A VendorHearth Pro license is intended for one WordPress website.
If you operate VendorHearth Pro on multiple independent production websites, each site requires the appropriate license.
Moving VendorHearth to Another Website #
If you permanently move your VendorHearth installation to another domain or WordPress website, deactivate the license on the old installation before activating it on the replacement site when possible.
A typical process is:
- Prepare the new WordPress website.
- Move your VendorHearth installation and data using your chosen migration process.
- Deactivate the VendorHearth license on the old site.
- Enter the license key on the new site.
- Activate the license.
- Verify VendorHearth System Readiness.
- Test important VendorHearth workflows.
Do not delete your original site or data until you have confirmed that the migration was successful.
Changing Domains #
If your organization changes its domain while keeping the same VendorHearth installation, you may need to reactivate or update the license association.
After a domain change, review your license status and VendorHearth System Readiness.
Also test:
- Vendor portal pages
- Payment processing
- Square webhook configuration
- Email delivery
- Uploaded files
- Scheduled automation
A domain change can affect more than licensing.
Development and Demo Sites #
Do not assume that a production license can be activated on unlimited additional websites.
If you are creating a development, staging, or demonstration installation, follow the licensing terms provided with your VendorHearth purchase.
If the License Will Not Activate #
If activation fails, check:
- The license key was entered correctly.
- The website has an internet connection.
- WordPress can make outgoing requests.
- The license is not already associated with another production site.
- The license has not expired.
- Your site’s domain is correct.
If the license was previously activated on another website, deactivate the old installation before trying again.
Do Not Share Your License Key Publicly #
Treat your VendorHearth license key as private account information.
Do not include the complete key in:
- Public screenshots
- Documentation
- Social media posts
- Public support forums
- Demo websites
If you need to provide information when requesting support, only provide license information through an appropriate private support channel.
Expiration Does Not Mean Your Data Is Held Hostage #
VendorHearth’s license system is designed around continued access to updates and support.
Your organization does not lose access to its existing vendor-management records simply because you decide not to renew.
You can continue using the installed version while deciding whether you want another year of updates and support.
