There Had to Be a Better Way.

Managing a vendor market means juggling a lot of moving pieces. Applications come in. Vendors need to be approved. Payments have to be tracked. Categories fill up. Agreements need to be accepted. Questions need answers. And somehow, all of it has to stay organized while you’re still trying to actually plan the event.

Like many organizers, we found ourselves relying on multiple tools and workarounds just to keep everything moving.

VendorHearth grew out of a simple question:

What if we could manage all of this from one place?

So we started building the system we wished we already had—right inside WordPress.

What began as a solution for our own markets eventually became something much bigger: a vendor management platform designed around the way organizers actually work.

Not Built in a Boardroom. Built at the Market.

VendorHearth has been shaped by the day-to-day reality of organizing vendor events through The Crafter’s Market Network.

Every application to review, payment to track, category to manage, agreement to collect, and vendor question to answer helped shape what VendorHearth has become.

Features weren’t added because they sounded good on a checklist. They were added because we encountered a problem and needed a better way to handle it.

That real-world experience continues to guide VendorHearth today. As our markets grow and new challenges appear, we continue improving the platform with one goal in mind:

Real Markets. · Real Vendors. · Real Experience.

Meet the Organizer Behind VendorHearth

Justin Brown is the founder and developer behind VendorHearth and an organizer with The Crafter’s Market Network, a vendor market organization based in Tennessee.

After experiencing firsthand how quickly applications, payments, vendor communications, agreements, booth assignments, and event details can become scattered across different systems, Justin began building a better solution.

What started as a tool created specifically for his own organization grew into VendorHearth—a WordPress vendor management platform designed to give other organizers access to the same tools.

But VendorHearth is still being built from an organizer’s perspective.

Every improvement starts with a simple question:

“Would this make an organizer’s job easier?”

If the answer is yes, it belongs at the hearth.

Software Should Make Your Market Easier to Run.

Market organizers already wear enough hats. You shouldn’t have to become a software expert just to manage your vendors.

VendorHearth is built around a few simple ideas:

Keep it practical.
Tools should solve real problems, not add unnecessary complexity.

Keep organizers in control.
Every market operates differently. Your software should work with the way you run your events—not force you into someone else’s process.

Keep improving.
Markets change. Organizers grow. New challenges appear. VendorHearth will continue evolving alongside the people who use it.

Keep community at the center.
Behind every application and payment is a vendor. Behind every event is an organizer working to bring people together. Technology should support that community, not get in its way.
