Booth types in VendorHearth Pro define the participation options vendors can select for an event.
Each event can have its own booth types, allowing pricing, capacity, and location options to vary from one event to another.
Creating a Booth Type #
To configure booth types:
- Go to VendorHearth Pro → Events.
- Open the event you want to manage.
- Locate the booth configuration section.
- Add a new booth type.
- Enter the booth information.
- Save your changes.
Create a separate booth type for each distinct option you want to offer vendors.
Naming Booth Types #
Use names that clearly tell vendors what they are selecting.
Examples include:
- 10′ × 10′ Indoor Booth
- 10′ × 20′ Indoor Booth
- 10′ × 10′ Outdoor Booth
- Food Truck Space
Clear names are especially important when different booth options have different prices or locations.
Setting the Booth Price #
Each booth type can have its own price.
For example:
10′ × 10′ Booth — $50
10′ × 20′ Booth — $75
VendorHearth uses the configured booth option as part of the vendor’s event application and payment workflow.
Always verify booth pricing before opening applications.
Setting Booth Capacity #
Capacity represents how many spaces of that booth type are available.
If you have 20 indoor spaces available, for example, the corresponding booth type should reflect the appropriate capacity.
Capacity helps VendorHearth track availability as vendors move through the application process.
We’ll cover capacity in greater detail in Setting Booth Prices and Capacity.
Choosing a Location Type #
VendorHearth supports booth location classifications including:
- Indoor
- Outdoor
- Food Truck
- Other
- Unspecified
The location classification helps identify the general type of space associated with the booth option.
The actual booth name can still contain more specific information.
For example:
Booth Name: 10′ × 20′ Covered Pavilion
Location Type: Outdoor
Multiple Booth Types #
An event can offer multiple booth types.
This allows you to accommodate different space sizes, locations, or participation types within the same event.
For example, an event might have:
- 10′ × 10′ Indoor
- 10′ × 20′ Indoor
- 10′ × 10′ Outdoor
- 10′ × 20′ Outdoor
- Food Truck
Each option can be configured separately.
Editing a Booth Type #
If you need to change an existing booth type:
- Open the event.
- Locate the booth configuration.
- Find the booth type you want to change.
- Update the necessary information.
- Save your changes.
Be especially careful when changing booth information after vendors have already applied or paid.
Existing applications may contain information based on the booth configuration that was available when the vendor submitted their application.
Changing Booth Prices After Applications Begin #
Avoid changing the meaning or price of an existing booth option once vendors are actively using it.
For example, changing an existing $50 10′ × 10′ booth into a $75 10′ × 20′ booth can make existing application records confusing.
When making significant changes, consider whether creating a new booth option is clearer than repurposing an existing one.
Removing Booth Types #
Before removing a booth type, check whether vendors have already selected or been associated with it.
A booth option that has already been used may be part of your event’s application or payment history.
Preserving accurate historical information is generally preferable to removing configuration that existing records depend on.
Booth Types Are Event-Specific #
Always review booth configuration when creating or duplicating an event.
Pricing, capacity, and available space may change from one event to another even when the events are held at the same venue.
Before Opening Applications #
Confirm that every booth type has the correct:
- Name
- Price
- Capacity
- Location classification
Once those settings are correct, you can open the event for vendor applications.
