# VendorHearth Pro System Requirements

Before installing VendorHearth Pro, make sure your WordPress website meets the minimum system requirements.

## Minimum Requirements

VendorHearth Pro requires:

- **WordPress:** Version 6.2 or newer
- **PHP:** Version 8.1 or newer
- **WordPress User Accounts:** Required for organizers, staff, and vendors
- **WordPress Cron:** Required for automated tasks and scheduled processes
- **File Uploads:** Must be enabled for features that accept vendor documents, logos, product images, and event materials

Using current versions of WordPress and PHP is recommended whenever possible.

## WordPress Permissions

The initial installation and configuration of VendorHearth Pro should be completed by a WordPress Administrator.

VendorHearth creates additional roles for vendors and authorized staff so they can access the features they need without being given full WordPress Administrator access.

## Email

VendorHearth uses the WordPress email system to send application notifications, payment reminders, requests for information, and other vendor communications.

Your website must be capable of reliably sending WordPress email.

If your website has difficulty delivering email, consider configuring an SMTP or transactional email service for WordPress.

## Online Payments

If you plan to accept online payments through VendorHearth, your payment gateway must also be configured.

VendorHearth Pro includes support for Square payments. Additional payment options may be available through compatible VendorHearth extensions.

Payment configuration can be completed during initial setup or later from VendorHearth settings.

## Server Compatibility

Most WordPress hosting environments that meet the WordPress and PHP requirements should be capable of running VendorHearth Pro.

After installation, VendorHearth includes a **System Readiness** tool that checks important parts of your installation and identifies potential configuration problems.

We recommend reviewing System Readiness before opening your first event for vendor applications.

## Next Step

Once your website meets these requirements, continue to **Installing VendorHearth Pro**.
